First of all, I will explain about this restaurant.
SAWADDEE RESTAURANT IS LOCATED AT LEVEL 2, 9 AVENUE, TAMAN KOPORAT, PUTRA NILAI, 71800 NILAI.
COMPANY MISSION
š To create a friendly neighborhood strip mall dedicated to serving the daily needs of the communities in Putra Nilai and around it. A new spot where they can visit any day of the week without driving long distance or getting stuck in traffic for hours.

š 9 Avenue will be for lease to ensure better control of the mall image and composition of tenants. Cleanliness and security will be given prominence so that shoppers will feel comfortable ad safe every time they visit us.

This restaurant provides many types of thai food and also serve malay food to attract customer go to their restaurant. The owner decide to open sawaddee restaurant at level 2 because the rental price is cheaper than level 1, even though he afraid that the restaurant cannot attract many customer because the location is not- strategic. The owner said that he must take this risk as an opportunity because they can put a low price to attract customer to compete with other competitors. Other than that, this restaurant also gives discount price to the regular customer and provides good facilities such as wifi and air-conditioner. That’s all….have your meals at SAWADDE RESTAURANT!!!

BRIEFING ABOUT STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT


Strategic management is the art of formulating, implementing and evaluating according to the decisions making to achieve the organization goals. Strategic management focus on business while strategic planning focus more on formulation. Besides that, strategic plan is the good alternatives choices from the tough managerial to improve the organization.
There are three stages of strategic management. Firstly, formulation strategy that identifies the strengths and weaknesses of an organization to develop their vision and mission. Secondly, implementation strategy or call the action stage when the organization use the formulate strategies resources to be execute. Lastly, evaluation strategy needs an organization to take corrective on their actions to be more successful.
Other than that, it is important to the organization to know about the opportunities and threats on their business area. It is can make easier to the organization to create and manage their strategies, skills and marketing process to survive on the market and develop business to the overseas. Although, the important part in the organization is a communication skill between a manager, employees and customers to know each other needs and responsibility. The manager must know about employee skills or try to solve their problem on the organization. Furthermore, the manager also can take a good idea from the employees and then make some additional changes to be one of the organization strategy. In addition, the successful organization will be done when the customer seek their needs. That’s all….hee.




Chapter 11: MANAGING INTERNAL OPERATION: ACTION THAT PROMOTE GOOD STRATEGY EXECUTION





In an organization, policies and procedure was applied to guide employees about how certain things must to be done.  Furthermore, this thing helps the employees to overcome any challenges, barriers or resistance that happen in the organization. Then, it is also help enforce reward or punishment among the employee who are doing well and efficient or unaware in their work.



 In addition, it is important to manage policies and procedure for continuous improvement such as best practice, benchmarking and process reengineering. When one organization fully use the best practice in performing their work, it can move the organization forward and achieve efficient and effective of company activities or goals.   

CHAPTER 10: BUILDING AN ORGANIZATION CAPABLE OF GOOD STRATEGY EXECUTION

An organization must take an action to execute strategy to achieve their goals. There are many actions for executing strategy. First, provide policies and procedure in an organization for the purpose to easy the members in doing their works. Second, take a right person as a staff in an organization that can execute the strategy and improve company performance. As we know any organization must have a leader to organize and lead others in doing works to make sure the strategy is implemented well.

 After that, to maintain achievement of company strategy, an organization also can give a reward and incentive like day off and “Anugerah Pekerja Cemerlang” to the employees who are work hard to make them feel confidence, grateful and give better performance in their works. Any action that can achieve strategy execution can be apply in an organization to develop or enhance organization goals and earn more profits.

CHAPTER 8: CORPORATE STRATEGY: DIVERSIFICATION AND THE MULTIBUSINESS COMPANY

Diversification means more than one industry is involve in a business and then, the business that makes a joint venture with another business can reduce their cost. Later, a move to diversify into a new business must be pass three tests which are industry attractiveness test that offer an opportunity for profits, second, cost of enter the target industry must not be so high and lastly is better-off test or synergy that means, more than strong or provide the best for company. Although, the businesses can be diversify into three types which are related business, unrelated business and both of related and unrelated business. The value chain is the measure whether the business is related or unrelated business. Finally, diversified company can choose their strategy option, whether it broader the diversification base, narrow diversification base and restructure the company’s business lineup or multinational diversification.

WEEK 9: OSHIMA JAPANESE RESTAURANT

In my opinion, this restaurant is interesting because it serve Japanese cuisine and had use halal ingredient in their food. I'm also salute to Pn. Asnidar because she have high strength to stand up again after the business is going down. There are a lot of barriers that she must to face it. for instance, to get halal certificate from JAKIM, to gain trust from supplier, to find trustworthy workers and so on. The common strategy that she use in the business is to understand customer needs, get a strategic location, brand awareness and make a promotion.

CHAPTER 8: STRATEGIC FOR COMPETING IN INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

It is benefit among the company to enter foreign markets to develop business to the world wide, can gain more customer and profit . However, before the business enter to the foreign markets it must face many obstacle or barriers to get success in that field. for instance, political and economic risks.



As a seller, business must produce the product that match to the customer needs and preferences, culture and their various norm.
